A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING A TEMPORARY
CLOSURE TO CALTRANS STATE ROUTE 57
NORTHBOUND OFF -RAMP FOR THE ANGELS
BASEBALL FOUNDATION 5K AND FUN RUN.
WHEREAS, the Angels Baseball Foundation 5K and Fun Run is scheduled for
March 30, 2013; and
WHEREAS, 4,500 runners and walkers will participate in this 3.1 mile course
through the Anaheim Stadium and along City streets passing State Route 57 (SR -57); and
WHEREAS, safety along the course will require an approximately two -hour
temporary closure of the northbound off -ramp of SR -57 at Katella Avenue; and
WHEREAS, traffic control plans have been formulated and a certificate of
insurance has been prepared to the satisfaction of Caltrans; and
WHEREAS, the Angels Baseball Foundation agrees to reimburse the City and
Caltrans for the costs of the traffic closures.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
that the City of Anaheim requests a temporary closure of up to two hours on March 30, 2013,
between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. at the SR -57 northbound off -ramp at Katella Avenue.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 5 day of March, 2013, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Mayor Tait, Council Members Eastman, Brandman, Murray, Kring
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
