A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF SABINA
STREET NORTH OF CYPRESS STREET AND THOSE
CERTAIN PUBLIC ALLEYS EAST AND WEST OF SABINA
(97 2A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate
certain public streets, highways or public service easements
pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by
law; and
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of November, 1997, a public
hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence
concerning said proposed vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby determine, from all of the
evidence submitted at the public hearing, as follows:
A. The public street, highway and /or public service
easement is unnecessary for present or prospective use within the
contemplation of Section 8324(b) of the Streets and Highways
Code; and,
B. The public street, highway and /or public service
easement is not useful as a nonmotorized transportation facility
within the contemplation of Section 892(a) of the Streets and
Highways Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of that
portion of Sabina Street extending northerly from Cypress Street
and those two public alleys located east and west of Sabina
Street also extending northerly from Cypress Street, more par-
ticularly described as follows:
See Exhibit A attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County by the City Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange upon the certification of the Director of
the Department of Public Works that each of the following
conditions or events have been completed or occurred:
1. That rights -of -way sufficient for City purposes
to replace the streets and alleys abandoned hereby
shall have been dedicated, improved, and accepted
by the City.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 18th day of November,
1997.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
ABANDONMENT 97 -2A
That portion of Sabina Street, 54.00 feet wide beginning at
the northeast corner of Lot 7 of the Mc Carter Subdivision;
thence S 15 30' E, 198.34 feet; thence N 74 28' E, 54.00
feet; thence N 15 30' W, 198.34 feet; thence S 74 28' W,
54.00 feet to the point of beginning. Also that portion of
Sabina Street as dedicated on City Deed No. 8047 and recorded
as Instrument No. 84- 026317 on January 19, 1984.
Public Alley East of Sabina Street
All that portion of the public alley, the east line of which
is located 177.00 feet easterly of Sabina Street, beginning
at the north right -of -way line of Cypress Street, said right
of -way line being 34.50 feet north of the centerline of
Cypress Street; thence northerly 198.00 feet.
Public Alley West of Sabina Street
All that portion of the public alley, the west line of which
is located 179.83 feet westerly of Sabina Street, beginning
at the north right -of -way line of Cypress Street, said right
of -way line being 34.50 feet north of the centerline of
Cypress Street; thence northerly 198.34 feet.
