Vice-Chair Maya asked for clarification regarding when the Anaheim Art Association or Arts Council will exhibit in the Gallery. Janis stated it would be the Art Association in June or July, and the Arts Council only uses space that might be available 7. ART FACILITIES SUBCOMMITTEE: Commissioner Deneau reviewed the steps the subcommittee has taken to update City Council on the facilities in the City and what they feel should be done to make improvements. Janis reported that she spoke with Alan Strickland from the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts about scheduling a tour and to meet with the Executive Director to get operational information. He did tell her that they have determined that they spent too much money on technology that they rarely use. He would prefer to meet on Monday mornings, or if not Wednesday or Friday would be his second choice. She suggested either June 10 or 24 would work, and she will send an invitation out to all Commissioners. Commissioner Deneau asked if it would be possible to invite Terry Lowe to attend as well, and Janis said she will inquire with him. Commissioner Deneau asked if she received responses from any other facilities; Janis stated that she recommended starting with Cerritos and then discussing the experience to determine how to proceed. Commissioner Deneau also suggested that the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza might be a good facility to tour. -8)123 Cultural and Heritage Commission May 16, 2013 - Page 2 A G E N D A A C T I O N T A K E N 8.
