Chairman Roth called the regular meeting of the Industrial Development
Authority of Anaheim to order at 10:07 a.m.
MINUTES: Authority Member Bay moved to approve the minutes of the regular
meeting held December 4, 1984. Authority Member Overholt abstained since he
was not present at that meeting. Authority Member Pickler seconded the
motion. Authority Member Kaywood was absent. MOTION CARRIED.
183: ISSUANCE OF INDUSTRIAL REVENUE BONDS: A Resolution authorizing the
issuance of Industrial Revenue Bonds in an amount not to exceed $2,500,000 to
provide financing for the construction of a warehouse and related facility to
be located on a 2-1/4 acre site near Industrial Avenue and Hancock Street for
Russ Berrie; and directing Jones Hall Hill & White, Bond Counsel, to proceed
with validation proceedings was submitted for Authority consideration.
Norm Priest, Executive Director of Community Development, stated staff was
advised by Bond Counsel that he would prefer to have one additional agreement
inserted as part of the validation action, and then were unable to present it
to the Authority in time for review. He requested that the item be removed
from the agenda and rescheduled next week as a new item.
MOTION: On motion by Authority Member Bay, seconded by Authority Member
Pickler, the resolution to authorize Issuance of Industrial Revenue Bonds for
the Russ Berrie project was continued to January 29, 1985. Authority Member
Kaywood was absent. MOTION CARRIED.
ADJOURNMENT: Authority Member Roth moved to adjourn. Authority Member
Pickler seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. (10:09 a.m.)
