A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY TO ALLOCATE COMBINED
TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM FUNDS FOR HARBOR
BLVD /LEMON STREET /PATT AT SR -91 FREEWAY
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority
approved a Combined Transportation Funding Program (CTFP) for
fiscal year 1996 -97; and
WHEREAS, the program includes $700,000.00 in fiscal
year 1996 -97 of CTFP funds from Growth Management Area No. 1 for
a construction project on Harbor /Lemon /Patt at SR -91 Freeway; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has adopted a General Plan
Circulation Element which does not preclude implementation of the
Master Plan of Arterial Highways (MPAH) within its jurisdiction;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has contracted the
construction of the project improvements and completed required
preparatory work in accordance with the standards required by the
City and other affected jurisdictions involved with said project;
and
WHEREAS, Caltrans has awarded the construction contract
for the project on May 20, 1997 for $27,790,000.00 which includes
the Harbor /Lemon /Patt at SR -91 Freeway and the City's share for
its project is $1,978,446.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim
hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Authority
allocate $520,672 of CTFP funds from GMA No. 1 for construction
of said project to the City of Anaheim. This request is in
conformance with the CTFP allocation process and does not exceed
ninety percent (90%) of the programmed amount or ninety percent
(90o) of the construction contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Anaheim agrees to
funds its share of the improvement costs of the above indicated
fiscal year and any additional costs over the identified
programmed amount.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 17th day of June, 1997.
