APIC1987-2RESOLUTION NO. APIC87-2 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT CORPORATION RELATING TO PUBLIC MEETING PROCEDURES. WHEREAS, certain revisions to the Ralph M. Brown Act (Government Code Section 54950, et seq.) became effective on January 1, 1987, which revisions require all legislative bodies as defined in said Act to comply with certain new procedures relating to the notice and conduct of public meetings; and WHEREAS, the Anaheim Public Improvement Corporation desires to adopt the procedures hereinafter set forth to implement the revisions to the Ralph M. Brown Act contained in Chapter 641 of the 1986 Statutes of the State of California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Anaheim Public Improvement Corporation as follows: SECTION 1. The Secretary of the Anaheim Public Improvement Corporation is hereby designated and directed to post any public notices, agendas, and other matters required to be publicly posted pursuant to any applicable provision of the Ralph M. Brown Act including but not limited to agendas for regular meetings and other matters required to be posted pursuant to Sections 54954.2(a), 54956, and S4956.5 of the Government Code of the State of California. SECTION 2. Every agenda for regular meetings of the Anaheim Public Improvement Corporation shall provide an opportunity for members of the public to directly address the Anaheim Public Improvement Corporation on items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Anaheim Public Improvement Corporation. SECTION 3. Unless otherwise waived by the Anaheim Public Improvement Corporation, the total amount of time allocated for public testimony on a particular issue shall not exceed ten (10) minutes and the amount of time for each individual speaker shall not exceed three (3) minutes. SECTION 4. The procedures and rules set forth in Sections 2 and 3 above shall not apply to, nor be a limitation upon any testimony given to the Anaheim Public Improvement Corporation in any hearing required by law. SECTION 5. The procedures and rules set forth in this resolution shall supersede any procedures or rules heretofore adopted by the Anaheim Public Improvement Corporation to the extent such procedures or rules are inconsistent with the terms of this resolution.
