PRESENT: PRESENT: ABSENT= VACANCY: PRESENT: MAYOR= (After Swear-In) Daly COUNCIL MEMBERS: (After Swear-In) MAYOR/COUNCIL MEMBERS= None COUNCIL MEMBERS: One CITY MANAGER: James Ruth CITY ATTORNEY: Jack White CITY CLERK: Leonora N. Sohl Lopez, Zemel, Feldhaus A complete copy of the agenda for the Special Meeting of the Anaheim City Council was posted at 1:45 p.m. on November 23, 1994 at the Civic Center kiosk, containing all items as shown herein. City Clerk, Leonora Sohl called the Special Meeting of November 29, 1994 to order at 5:10 p.m., for the purpose of swearing in the newly elected Mayor and two newly elected Council Members. The results of the General Municipal Election held November 8, 1994 were previously certified by the Council on November 22, 1994 (see Resolution No. 94R-272). She thereupon turned the meeting over to Mayor Tom Daly. INVOCATION: Father John Lenihan, St. Boniface Catholic Church, gave the invocation. FLAG SALUTE: Mayor Tom Daly led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. SWEARING-IN-CEREMONY: City Clerk Sohl then administered the Oath of Office to newly-elected Mayor, Tom Daly for a 4-year term to 1998 and to newly-elected Council Members, Lou Lopez and Bob Zemel, both for 4-year terms to 1998. Mayor Daly then first introduced former and present public officials on the local, County and State level who were present in the Chamber audience, thanked them for attending the ceremony this evening, and further thanked them for their service to Anaheim. Subsequently, Mayor Daly, Council Member Lou Lopez and Council Member Bob Zemel, in turn, introduced their families, thanked their friends, those who assisted in their campaigns, their supporters, the electorate, and expressed what they would like to see continue in the City, and what they would most like to accomplish or assist in accomplishing for the City during their tenure. They further expressed how privileged, pleased and honored they were to have been elected and been given the opportunity to serve Anaheim -- Mayor Daly for an additional four years, and Council Member Lopez and Zemel in their first four-year terms. ADJOURNMENT: By general consent, the Special Meeting of Tuesday, November 29, 1994 was adjourned.
