The Council meeting of March 13, 1990 was adjourned to this date and time. PRESENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Daly, Ehrle, Kaywood, Pickler and Hunter ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None PRESENT: CITY MANAGER: Bob Simpson CITY ATTORNEY: 3ack White ASSISTANT CITY CLERK: Ann M. Sauvageau Mayor Hunter called the adjourned regular meeting to order for purposes of a Closed Session. (12:05 p.m.) RECESS; By General Consent, the Council recessed to Closed Session to discuss personnel matters pursuant to Government Code Section 54957. (12:06 p.m.) AFTER RECESS; Mayor Pro Tem Pickler called the meeting to order, all Council Members being present with the exception of Mayor Hunter and Councilman Ehrle. (2:15 p.m.) Councilman Pickler moved first to waive the 72-hour posting requirement of the Brown Act in order for the Council to take action relating to the position of City Manager based upon the finding that the need to take action arose within the 72-hour posting period. Councilman Daly seconded the motion. Council Members Ehrle and Hunter were absent. MOTION CARRIED. Councilman Pickler moved that the City Council appoint James D. Ruth to the position of City Manager of the City of Anaheim pursuant to Section 600 of the City Charter effective May 2, 1990 at an annual salary of $125,000 with all other terms of employment to be incorporated into an agreement to be prepared by the City Attorney and approved by the City Council. Councilman Daly seconded the motion. Council Members Ehrle and Hunter were absent. MOTION CARRIED. ADJOURNMENT; By general consent, the Council adjourned. ANN M.
