Residents on your street are now requesting consideration of the final action to designate Permit Parking on West Simmons Avenue. The street proposed for Permit Parking is shown on the attached map. To actually have permit parking on your street, 75% of residences on your street segment need to vote in favor of permit parking. Please complete the attached survey and return it by the date specified on the survey. If a minimum of 75% of total residents desire Permit Parking on your street segment, a permit will be required to park on your street segment. Here are some basic questions and answers that may assist you in completing the ballot. How many permits can I purchase and how much are they? Each home can purchase up to three biennial permits at the cost of $30 each. Each permit is good for two years. In addition, one -day guest permits are available for $1 each. Guest permits are sold in packs of 25 for $25 to control costs. Where do I purchase the permits? In order to purchase a permit, residents must provide proof of residency and have current vehicle registration for each vehicle they want a permit for. Permits can be purchased online, by mail and over the counter at City Hall. What if vehicles park on- street without a permit? Permit parking streets will be actively enforced. Vehicles without permits will be ticketed for a $72 violation. Resident permit parking stickers are not allowed on recreational vehicles and trailers. One -day guest permits, however, maybe used on recreational vehicles and trailers for loading and unloading for short durations. As the resident in charge of your household, we encourage your participation in this effort. Please complete the enclosed questionnaire and return it in the enclosed envelope to the City of Anaheim by the date specified in the survey.
