Mayor Roth called the adjourned regular meeting to order (2:39 p.m.
City Attorney Jack White requested that the City Council recess to a Closed
Session pursant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a) to consider pending
litigation involvin~ the cases of Golden West Baseball Company vs. the City of
Anaheim, Case Nos. #409246, 449897, 463103, and 462388.
RECESS - CLOSED SESSION: Councilman Roth moved to recess into Closed
Session. Councilman Pickler seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. (2:40 p.m.)
AFTER tLECESS: The Mayor called the meeting to order, all Council Members
being present. (5:16 p.m)
Mayor Roth announced the Council, in closed session, discussed with their
attorneys the proposed agreement between the City and the California Angels
regarding certain issues. The City Council is favorably disposed to the
proposal. The Council, however, has instructed staff and its attorneys to
finalize the provisions of the agreement and Council will review these
agreements again the early part of next week, at which time a decision will be
made. That is the only information available today and if additional
information is necessary, Sheri Erlewine, the City's Public Information
Officer should be contacted.
ADJOURNMENT: Councilman Roth moved to adjourn. Councilman Pickler seconded
the motion. MOTION CARILIED. (5:17 p.m.)
