RES-2014-148 RESOLUTION NO. 2014- 148 RESOLUTIONS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2014-097 WHICH ESTABLISHED RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR CLASSIFICATIONS DESIGNATED AS POLICE SAFETY MANAGEMENT WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated August 12, 2014, that Resolution No. 2014-097 and Resolution No. 2000- 129 be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth, effective August 15, 2014; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that the aforementioned amendment is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution No. 2014-097 and Resolution No. 2000-129, which established rates of compensation for classifications designated as Police Safety Management. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows: That, Section 4 of Resolution No. 2014-097 and Resolution No. 2000-129 is amended by adding the following: That, effective the pay period beginning August 15, 2014, ANAHEIM shall not report the nine percent (9%) PERS employee contribution paid by ANAHEIM (PERS-on-PERS roll-up) to CaIPERS as compensation earned in accordance with Government Code section 20636(c)(4). That, effective the pay period beginning August 14, 2015, any incumbent designated as Police Safety Management hired on or after the date of this Resolution, shall receive a twelve percent (12%) wage increase; and That, effective the pay period beginning August 14, 2015, employees designated as Police Safety Management in the three percent at fifty (3.0% 50} benefit plan, shall contribute twelve percent (12%) towards CaIPERS pension benefits. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution is August 15, 2014. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, except as amended herein, Resolution No. 2014-097 shall remain in full force and effect.
