A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A LETTER OF
UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
INTERNTAIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF
ELECTRICAL WORKERS, LOCAL 47
REPRESENTING ANAHEIM PART-TIME
CUSTOMER SERVICE EMPLOYEES AND THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department met and conferred with officials
and employee representatives of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47,
representing Anaheim Part-Time Customer Service Employees, and reached an agreement
modifying the wages, hours, and terms and conditions of the existing Memorandum of
Understanding, specifically addressing employee compensation.
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, a Letter of Understanding dated September 26,
2014 between the parties has been prepared and signed; and
WHEREAS, the Union is in agreement with the recommendations contained in
said Letter of Understanding; and as a result thereof, the Letter of Understanding dated
September 26, 2014, has been signed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the best
interest of the City of Anaheim to approved said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated September 26, 2014 between the Anaheim
Police Management Association and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached hereto
and incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 7� day of October, 2014, by the following roll call vote:

LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING between the
INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD of ELECTRICAL WORKERS and the
CITY OF ANAHEIM
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47 (IBEW) and the City of Anaheim (ANAHEIM)
have met and conferred and reached an agreement on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the
ANAHEIM and the IBEW representing Anaheim Part-Time Customer Service Employees. The Parties hereby agree to
the following:
(1) The intent of the Parties was to provide a wage increase of six percent (6%) for the Part-Time Meter Reader and
Part-Time Utilities Service Representative classifications, consistent with the full-time bargaining unit. In the
MOU dated January 3, 2014 through January 2, 2017, wage increases for such classifications were unintentionally
stated and calculated at four percent (4%}. There shall be no retro-pay and the wage adjustments (for the Part-
Time Meter Reader and Part-Time Utilities Service Representative classifications) for the period of August 15,
2014 through July 2, 2015, shall occur on the first full pay period following City Council approval of this LOU.
(2) Appendix "A" of the MOU shall be modified as follows:

(3) The following language shall be added to Article 26 — Grievance Procedure:
26.4.1 ANAHEIM and IBEW agree to stipulate to the following submission language
when a dismissal is submitted to an impartial arbitrator: "Was (name of employee)
dismissed for good and sufficient cause? If not, what shall the remedy be?"
