RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL
UNION, LOCAL 1877, AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM,
CHANGING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF A NEGOTIATED
GENERAL WAGE INCREASE
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director met and conferred with officials and
employee representatives of the Service Employees International Union, Local 1877, changing
the effective date of a negotiated general wage increase from October 4, 2002, to September
27, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the Service Employees International Union, Local 1877, is in agreement
with the recommendations contained in said Letter of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the Letter of Understanding dated April 5, 2002,
between the parties has been prepared and signed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the best interest
of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
said Letter of Understanding dated April 5, 2002, between the Service Employees International
Union, Local 1877, and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim the 7th day of May, 2002.

LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
between the
SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION Local 1877
and the
CITY OF ANAHEIM
The Service Employees International Union, Local 1877, and the City of Anaheim have
met and conferred and have reached the following agreement:
The negotiated general wage increase provided for in Appendix "A" of the
Memorandum of Understanding dated July 14, 2000 through October 2,
2003 between the City of Anaheim and the Service Employees
International Union, Local 1877 scheduled for implementation on
October 4, 2002 shall be implemented effective September 27, 2002.
