A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AMENDING CITY COUNCIL POLICY 5.7
RELATING TO PERMIT PARKING
WHEREAS, on August 7, 2007 , the City Council added City Council Policy 5.7 entitled
"Permit Parking" to the City Council Policy Manual, and thereafter amended on May 19, 2009,
relating to spillover parking and establishment of permit parking; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to amend the City Council Policy Manual to
amend City Council Policy 5.7 to revise the minimum support rate for the implementation of
permit parking.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as
follows::
Section 1. Paragraph 10 of Policy No. 5.7 entitled, "Permit Parking" is hereby
deleted in its entirety from the City Council Policy Manual and replaced with the following:
"10. Upon City Council approval of the Permit-Eligible Parking District, individual
street segments within the identified Permit-Eligible Parking District boundary may
request implementation of permit parking. A second survey is mailed to residents and
owners of the subject street to determine if residents of the subject street are in favor of
implementing a Permit Parking District. If 75% or more of the households surveyed
favor implementing a Permit Parking District, the City Attorney's Office prepares a
resolution for City Council consideration to establish Parking District. Staff will assist
petitioner(s) by providing a list of non-responders so they may encourage them to vote."
Section 2. All other paragraphs of Policy No. 5.7 shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption
