ORDINANCE NO. 5486
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
THE ZONING MAP REFERRED TO IN TITLE 18 OF THE
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZONING.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES FIND THAT:
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission heretofore held a duly
noticed public hearing and, as a result thereof, did adopt its
Resolution No. PC92-83 determining that a change or changes in the
zone or zones hereinafter mentioned and described should be made;
and
WHEREAS, certain conditions and requirements were made as
conditions precedent to the making of a change or changes of said
zone or zones, which conditions have been complied with.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the Zoning Map referred to in Title 18 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby, amended by
rezoning and reclassifying that certain property situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described
as follows, to wit:
THAT PORTION OF LOTS 30 AND 31 OF ANAHEIM
EXTENSION, AS SHOWN ON A MAP OF SURVEY BY
WILLIAM HAMEL, A COPY OF WHICH IS SHOWN IN
BOOK 3, PAGES 162 TO 164 OF "LOS ANGELES
COUNTY MAPS", IN THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY
RECORDER OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA,
INCLUDING A PORTION OF VERMONT AVENUE AS
ABANDONED BY THAT CERTAIN RESOLUTION NO. 63R-
352 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM, A CERTIFIED COPY OF WHICH WAS
RECORDED MAY 16, 1963 IN BOOK 6551, PAGE 731
OF OFFICIAL RECORDS OF SAID ORANGE COUNTY,
DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SAID LOT
30, SAID CORNER BEING THE INTERSECTION OF THE
CENTERLINES OF BALL ROAD AND WEST STREET, AS
SHOWN ON SAID MAP; THENCE WESTERLY ALONG THE
SOUTHERLY LINE OF SAID LOT 30 A DISTANCE OF
388.7 FEET TO THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE LAND
CONVEYED TO FANNIE MOORE BY DEED RECORDED
MARCH 2, 1929 IN BOOK 251, PAGE 139 OF SAID
OFFICIAL RECORDS; THENCE NORTH 000 23' 00"
WEST 785.46 FEET TO THE NORTHEASTERLY CORNER

OF SAID LAND CONVEYED TO FANNIE MOORE; THENCE
NORTH 740 20' 00" EAST 166.00 FEET TO THE
EASTERLY LINE OF SAID LOT 31, SAID EASTERLY
LINE BEING THE CENTERLINE OF SAID WEST STREET;
THENCE SOUTHEASTERLY 861.95 FEET ALONG THE
EASTERLY LINES OF SAID LOTS 30 AND 31 TO THE
POINT OF BEGINNING.
EXCEPTING THAT PORTION LYING SOUTHERLY OF THE
FOLLOWING DESCRIBED LINE:
BEGINNING AT A POINT ON THE WESTERLY LINE OF
THE ABOVE DESCRIBED LAND, SAID POINT BEING
DISTANT SOUTHERLY 157.76 FEET FROM THE
NORTHWEST CORNER THEREOF; THENCE EASTERLY TO A
POINT ON THE EASTERLY LINE OF THE ABOVE
DESCRIBED LAND, SAID POINT BEING DISTANT
SOUTHERLY 152.18 FEET FROM THE NORTHEAST
CORNER THEREOF,
into the "RS -7200" RESIDENTIAL, SINGLE-FAMILY ZONE.
SECTION 2.
The City Zoning Map shall be, and the same is hereby,
amended and the property above-described shall be excluded from the
zone in which it is now situated and incorporated in and made a
part of the zone or zones as above set forth, and said City Zoning
Map, as amended, is hereby adopted and the Planning Department is
hereby directed to prepare a sectional zoning map to be added to
the City Zoning Map showing the changes hereby approved and
adopted.
SECTION 3. CERTIFICATION
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a
newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in said
City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage, it
shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this2lst day of March
1995.
