ORDINANCE NO. 5485
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING SECTION 1.04.997 OF CHAPTER
1.04 OF TITLE 1 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE
BUDGET ADVISORY COMMISSION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1.
That subsection .020 of Section 1.04.997 of Chapter
1.04 of Title 1 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is
hereby, amended to read as follows:
11.020 Membership. The Budget Advisory Commission
shall consist of seven (7) members, none of whom shall hold
any paid office or employment in the City government and at
least four of whom shall be residents of the City of
Anaheim."
SECTION 2.
That subsection .040 of Section 1.04.997 of Chapter
1.04 of Title 1 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is
hereby, amended to read as follows:
11.040 Term of Appointment. Each member of the
Commission shall serve for a term of four years and until
his or her respective successor is appointed and qualified;
provided, however, that appointments to fill vacancies on
the Commission shall be for such terms as specified pursuant
to subsection .050 hereof. Terms of members shall be
staggered so that the terms of two members shall expire on
the thirtieth day of June of each year except for each
fourth year when the term of one member shall expire on the
thirtieth day of June of such year."
SECTION 3.
Adoption of this ordinance shall result in a reduction
in the authorized membership of the Budget Advisory Commission
from ten members to seven members. Consequently, the City
Council shall reorganize and reconstitute the Budget Advisory
Commission in any manner it deems appropriate, including but not
limited to the removal of some or all members, the appointment or
reappointment of members, and/or modifying the terms of any
existing members, so as to carry out the purposes of this
ordinance.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 21st day March , 1995.
