97-099RESOLUTION NO. 97R- 9 9 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 94R -151 WHICH ESTABLISHED PAY POLICIES FOR CLASSIFICATIONS ASSIGNED TO EXECUTIVE, ADMINISTRATIVE, MIDDLE MANAGEMENT, SUPERVISORY AND PROFESSIONAL GROUPS WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated June 10, 1997, that Resolution No. 94R -I 51 be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth effective June 27, 1997; and WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution No. 94R -151 which established Pay Policies for classifications assigned to Executive, Administrative, Middle Management, Supervisory and Professional; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that amending Resolution No. 94R -151 is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows: 1. That Section 1.2, Merit Increases, be revised to read as follows: "1.21 An incumbent employee shall be eligible to receive a merit increase as follows: F \HOM EVKILM URVOT20I OVK Compa -ratio 80 100 Every six (6) months (13 complete biweekly pay periods) until he /she reaches 100 compa- ratio. Compa -ratio 100 110 Every twelve (12) months (26 complete biweekly pay periods) until he /she reaches 110 compa- ratio. 1.22 The merit increases shall be granted based upon the employee's overall performance rating for the current performance year as follows: Below Expectations 0% Consistently Meets Expectations 1 -4% Consistently Exceeds Expectations 4% 5% 1.23 The employee's base rate of pay cannot exceed 110 compa -ratio as a result of the merit increase 1.24 A lump -sum payment is available for employees who reach 110 compa -ratio and have a Consistently Exceeds Expectations rating for the current performance year. Employees who are unable to receive the full merit because of their compa ratio, shall receive the remainder over 110 compa -ratio in a lump -sum provided their overall performance was rated Consistently Exceeds Expectations. Lump sum payments are not added to the employee's base pay and are not used in determining highest year compensation for PERS or for any leave bank pay -off 1.25 Employees may be eligible for a special salary adjustment as approved by the City Manager. Requests for special salary adjustments must be submitted in writing to the Human Resources Director. All requests must state the rationale for a special adjustment and be signed by the Executive Manager." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution shall be June 27, 1997. AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, except as amended herein, Resolution No. 94R -151 shall remain in full force and effect, THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council this 17 day of June 1997.
