A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING THREE PUBLIC UTILITY
EASEMENTS LOCATED AT 1265 VAN BUREN STREET
PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA STREETS AND HIGHWAY
CODE SECTION 8330, ET SEQ. - SUMMARY VACATION.

WHEREAS, an applicant has requested the vacation of three public utility easements
acquired by the City as successor to the Peralta Hills Water Company and generally located at 1265
Van Buren Street, in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as more
particularly described below ("Public Service Easements"), in order to clear title to the land for future
commercial development; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim ("City of Anaheim") acquired the Public Service
Easements for public utility purposes ("Public Utility Purposes"); and
WHEREAS, the Public Service Easements are not necessary for present or
prospective Public Utility Purposes or any other public purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Public Service Easements to be vacated have been superseded by
relocation and there are no other public facilities located within the Public Service Easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of the Public Service Easements recorded June 20, 1917 in
Book 302, Page 125 of Deeds, September 11, 1942 in Book 1156, Page 558, Official Records and
December 16, 1944, in Book 1286, Page 532, Official Records.
BE 1T FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby
makes this vacation pursuant to the requirements of the California Streets and Highways Code,
Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 4.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by this Resolution shall
not be effective until a certified copy of this Resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and is hereby, authorized and
directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the date the certified copy of this
Resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Orange, the vacation shall be
complete and the Public Service Easements vacated shall no longer constitute public service
easements.
