4949FOLLOWS: ORDINANCE NO. 4949 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING TITLE 16 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING THERETO CHAPTER 16.30 RELATING TO INSPECTION FEES. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS SECTION 1_ That Title 16 of the Anaheim Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding thereto Chapter 16.30 to read as follows: "Chapter 16.30 Fire Inspection Fees. 16.30.010 Fees for Reinspection. There is hereby imposed a reinspection fee for each inspection or reinspection conducted by the Fire Department when all or a portion of work required by an order or notice is not completed or corrections are not made within the time limit set forth in the order or notice. This Section requiring reinspection fees shall not apply to the original inspection which disclosed the violation(s) nor to the first follow-up inspection to determine if corrections have been made, but shall apply to all subsequent inspections. 16.30.020 Fees for Failure to Comply with Self -Inspection Requirements. The Fire Chief may establish and carry out a fire safety self -inspection program pursuant to procedures estabished under Section 16.30.060. There is hereby imposed a fee upon failure to return a completed self -inspection card to the Anaheim Fire Department within the time limit set forth on such card, provided a self -inspection program has been established by the Fire Chief pursuant to this section. 16.30.030 City Council to Set Fees. The City Council shall by resolution establish all fees which are billed and collected by the City of Anaheim for reinspection or for failure to comply with the self -inspection requirements. 16.30.040 Liability for Payment of Fees. Any person or business for which fees are imposed by this Chapter 16.30 shall be jointly and severally civilly liable and indebted to the City of Anaheim for such fees. 16.30.050 Collection of Fees. It shall be the duty of the Fire Chief of the City of Anaheim to collect fees pursuant to this Chapter. 16.30.060 Rules and Regulations. The Fire Chief may make rules and regulations not inconsistent with the provisions of this Chapter as may be necessary or desirable to aid in the enforcement of the provisions of this Chapter. Said rules and regulations shall be in writing and filed in the office of the Fire Chief." SECTTON 2 _ SEVERABILITY The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares that should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this ordinance, hereby adopted, be declared for any reason to be invalid, it is the intent of the Council that it would have passed all other portions of this ordinance independent of the elimination herefrom of any such portion as may be declared invalid.
