RES-2008-061A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A
LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE ANAHEIM POLICE ASSOCIATION AND
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the Anaheim Police Association have met
and conferred and reached an agreement to amend Article 44, Paid Leave Program of the
Memorandum of Understanding between the Parties; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Police Association is in agreement with the
recommendation contained in said Letter of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the Letter of Understanding dated
February 19, 2008 between the parties has been prepared and signed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the best
interest of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated February 19, 2008 between the Anaheim Police
Association and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by
reference herein, is hereby approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 1 3th day of May 2008 by the following roll call vote.

The Anaheim Police Association ("APA and the City of Anaheim "CITY") have met and conferred, and
reached agreement to amend Section 44.9.3 of Article 44 of the Memorandum of Understanding between
the Parties dated January 13, 2006 through January 7, 2010 as follows:

44.9.3 Mandatory Cash Out of Paid Leave
44.9.3.1 On the first pay day in January 2008, employees shall be paid at
their regular hourly rate of pay for thirteen (13) hours of accrued
Paid Leave.
