RESOLUTION NO. 2008 -184
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM APPROVING THE CONVEYANCE BY QUITCLAIM
DEED OF THE CITY'S RIGHT, TITLE AND INTEREST IN
ASSESSOR PARCEL NUMBER 037 123 -03 (Abandonment No.
ABA2008- 00187)
WHEREAS, in 1958, Mutual Citrus Products Company, via Corporation Grant Deed,
granted to the City of Anaheim (the "City the property described as Assessor Parcel Number 037-
123-03 (hereinafter the "Property upon the condition that the Property be used as a well site; and
WHEREAS, such Corporation Grant Deed provided that in the event the Property was
no longer used by the City as a well site, ownership of the Property would revert to owner of the
Property; and
WHEREAS, as part of the City's overall program to destroy older, shallow and inactive
City -owned wells, Well Number 22 was properly destroyed and all accompanying facilities were
thereafter removed from the Property; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency is the current owner
of the subject Property; and
WHEREAS, the Agency has requested City quitclaim its right, title and interest in the
Property in order to facilitate the development of Colony Park; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does hereby find and determine
it is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim to convey by quitclaim the City's right, title and
interest in the Property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
that the Property described as Assessor Parcel Number 037 123 -03 and depicted on attached as
Exhibit "A be and is hereby, conveyed to the Agency by quitclaim deed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby authorized
and directed, to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder
of the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim this 28tIday of October 2008, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Mayor Pringle, Council Members Hernandez, Sidhu, Galloway, Kring
