RESOLUTION 2008 -212
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF GROVE STREET
PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA STREETS AND HIGHWAY
CODE SECTION 8330, ET SEQ. SUMMARY VACATION.
(Abandonment No. ABA 2006 00140)
WHEREAS, Kaiser Foundation Hospitals "Kaiser has requested the vacation of
that portion of Grove Street, Anaheim, California, as more particularly described in Exhibits "A"
and "B attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference; and
WHEREAS, that portion of Grove Street to be vacated is not necessary for present
or prospective street or highway purposes and that area as more particularly described in Exhibits
"A" and "B attached hereto, will be reserved for public utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, the easement to be vacated is excess right -of -way of a street or highway
and is not required for street or highway purposes; and
WHEREAS, the vacation of the easement will make possible the development of a
new hospital campus by Kaiser, which will include medical office buildings, a 360 -bed hospital,
central utility plant and two parking structures pursuant to approved Development Agreement 2007-
0003.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of, and reserve for public utility purposes, that portion of
Grove Street, as per map recorded in Book 6, Page 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the Office of the
County Recorder of Orange as more particularly described in Exhibits "A" and "B attached hereto
and incorporated herein by this reference.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby authorized
and directed, to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder
of the County of Orange.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the date the certified copy of this
Resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Orange, the vacation shall be
complete and the public service easement vacated shall no longer constitute a public service
easement.

office of the County Recorder of said county on August 8, 2008,
described as follows:
COMMENCING at the southwesterly corner of Parcel 1 of said map; thence
along the southerly line of said parcel North 74 °08'54" East 735.04 feet
to a point on the southerly Right -Of -Way line of Grove Street, said
point being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence along the Right -Of -Way
line of Grove Street the following courses: North 09 °35'07" East 18.80
feet; thence North 13 °54'41" West 46.02 feet to a point on a non tangent
curve concave southeasterly and having a radius of 50.00 feet, a radial
line of said curve from said point bears North 74 °08'56" East; thence
along said curve easterly 114.32 feet through a central angle of
130 °59'58 thence tangent from said curve South 64 °51'06" East 24.87
feet to a point on a non tangent curve concave easterly and having a
radius of 50.00 feet, a radial line of said curve from said point bears
