A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2015-196
FOR THE PURPOSE OF MODIFYING THOSE
CLASSIFICATIONS DESIGNATED AS FIRE SAFETY
MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated
January 26. 2016, that Resolution No. 2015-196 be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution No. 2015-196
which established rates of compensation for classifications designated as Fire Safety Management;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that establishing new
rates of compensation and pay policies for Fire Safety Management classifications is in the best
interest of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
as follows:
Section 1
That, the basic compensation plan for all officers and employees of the City of
Anaheim who are now employed, or will in the future be employed in any of the job classifications
listed below, shall be allocated to the following salary ranges:

For purposes of benefits and application of pay guidelines, and Personnel Rules,
classifications listed in Section 1 of this Resolution shall be assigned to the following Units:

Section 3
That Section 3 of Resolution No. 2015-196 be amended as follows:
That, the basic compensation plan for all officers and employees of the City of
Anaheim who are now employed or will in the future be employed in any of the classification listed
in Section 1 of this Resolution shall be allocated to the salary ranges according to the structure listed
below:

Section 4
Effective January 29, 2016, Fire Battalion Chiefs who are now employed or will in
the future be employed by the City of Anaheim, with three percent at fifty (3.0% @ 50) benefit plan,
shall contribute twelve percent (12%) towards Ca1PERS pension benefits.
Section 5
Pursuant to the California Public Employees' Pension Reform Act of 2013, new
employees, working in the classifications set forth in this Resolution, hired on or after January 1,
2013, shall be enrolled in the Public Employee's Retirement defined benefit plan of 2.7% @ 57 with
a final compensation measurement period of the average of three (3) consecutive years and the
employee paying at least fifty percent (50%) of normal costs, rounded to the nearest of one percent
(1%).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution is January
29, 2016.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except as amended herein, Resolution No. 2015-
196 shall remain in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim this 26th day of January , 2016, by the following roll call vote:
