A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM CHANGING THE NAME OF 42ND STREET TO
MITO WAY.
WHEREAS, Section 34091.1 of the Government Code authorizes the legislative body of
a City to adopt or change the name of a City street; and
WHEREAS, Section 15.08. 100 of the Anaheim Municipal Code permits the City Council
to change the name of a street if the changed name conforms with the provisions of Chapter
15.08 of the Anaheim Municipal Code and the Address and Street Name Master Plan of the City
of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council fmds and determines that renaming of 42nd Street as Mito
Way conforms with Chapter 15.08 of the Anaheim Municipal Code and the Address and Street
Name Master Plan of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that 42nd Street, as shown on Exhibit A
attached hereto, is hereby ordered to be changed to Mito Way.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, ordered to
forward a copy of this resolution to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange, as
required by California Government Code Section 34092.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim this27thday ofseptember , 2016, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Mayor Tait and Council Members Kring, Murray, Brandman,
and Vanderbilt
