A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM REQUESTING TEMPORARY DETOUR TO
CALTRANS 1-5 OFFRAMPS FOR ANGELS FOUNDATION
5K
WHEREAS, the Angels Foundation 5K is scheduled for April 22, 2017; and
WHEREAS, approximately 5,000 runners and walkers will participate in this 5K
along City streets starting and finishing in the Angels Baseball parking lot and Interstate 5 (I-5);
and
WHEREAS, safety along the course will require an approximate four-hour
temporary Detour of I-5 ramps at one location on Saturday, April 22, 2017; and
WHEREAS, traffic control plans have been prepared, and a certificate of
insurance has been prepared to the satisfaction of Caltrans; and
WHEREAS, Angels Foundation agrees to reimburse Caltrans for costs of the
traffic closures.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
that the City of Anaheim requests temporary Detour of up to four hours on April 22, 2017,
between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. at: northbound and southbound Gene Autry Way.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 4th day of April , 2017 by the following roll call
vote:
AYES: Mayor Pro Tem Vanderbilt and Council Members Barnes,
Moreno, Kring, and Faessel
NOES: None
ABSENT: Mayor Tait and Council Member Murray
ABSTAIN: None
