A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM RESCINDING RESOLUTION 2000R-4
DESIGNATING THE AREA GENERALLY REFERRED TO AS
THE MAYFAIR -LODGE NEIGHBORHOOD AS A "NO
PARKING" AREA
WHEREAS, Section 14.32.370 of Chapter 14.32 of Title 14 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code authorizes the City Council to, by resolution, establish "No Parking" areas on
City streets; and
WHEREAS, on January 11, 2000, the City Council adopted Resolution No.
2000R-4 designating the following locations as "No Parking" areas due to a variety of illegal
activities occurring in and around vehicles parked in those areas which were inimical to the
public health, safety and welfare:
1. The east and west side of Mayfair Avenue north of La Palma Avenue.
2. The north side of Lodge Avenue east of West Street.
3. The south side of Lodge Avenue that consists of 126 ft. along the property
located at 1173 N. Mayfair Avenue (collectively, the "No Parking Areas").
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2000R-4 has achieved its desired purpose, and the
City and the community believe that the No Parking Areas can be maintained in a safe and
habitable manner by collaborative efforts without banning parking in its entirety; and
WHEREAS, subsequently -enacted parking restrictions in surrounding
neighborhoods have severely restricted the available parking in the No Parking Areas, such that
residents in those Areas currently have limited parking options.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim, that Resolution No. 2000R-4 is hereby rescinded and the following areas are no longer
designated as "No Parking" areas:
1. The east and west side of Mayfair Avenue north of La Palma Avenue.
2. The north side of Lodge Avenue east of West Street.
3. The south side of Lodge Avenue that consists of 126 ft. along the property
located at 1173 N. Mayfair Avenue.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 20th day of _June 2017, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Mayor Tait and Council Members Vanderbilt, Murray, Barnes,
Moreno, Kring, and Faessel
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
