A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2014-104 AND
TERMINATING THE AUTOMOBILE DEALERSHIP
ECONOMIC ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, AND
GRANDFATHERING APPLICATIONS FOR ASSISTANCE
SUBMITTED UNDER THE PROGRAM PRIOR TO AUGUST
15, 2017
WHEREAS, on June 17, 2014, The City Council of the City of Anaheim
approved an adopted its Resolution No. 2014-104 establishing the Automobile Dealership
Economic Assistance Program: and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Automobile Dealership Economic Assistance
Program, the City Council approved, and the City entered into, one Agreement Re:
Development and Operating Covenants related to the development and operation of Maserati,
Fiat and Alpha Romeo dealerships at 8200 East Crystal Drive, which Agreement was
subsequently terminated; and
WHEREAS, Council Members have requested that staff bring forth an item for
their consideration which would terminate the Automobile Dealership Economic Assistance
Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the foregoing recitals are true and correct and constitute a substantive part of this
Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Automobile Dealership Economic
Assistance Program is hereby terminated and Resolution 2014-104 is rescinded in its entirety.
BE IT ADDITIONALLY RESOLVED that the policy set forth in Resolution No.
2014-104 shall continue to apply to any applicant that submitted an application pursuant to
Resolution No. 2014-104 prior to August 15, 2017, unless the City Council adopts a subsequent
resolution to the contrary.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 29th day of August , 2017, by the following roll call
vote:
AYES: Mayor Pro Tem Vanderbilt and Council Members Murray,
Kring, and Faessel
NOES:Mayor Tait and Council Members Barnes and Moreno
