A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM (I) APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF EMPLOYMENT TRAINING PANEL
AGREEMENT NO. 98-0195 BETWEEN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AND THE EMPLOYMENT TRAINING PANEL
OF THE STATE OF CALIlZORNIA AND (IO
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF OTHER
DOCUMENTS RELATED THERETO.
WHEREAS, the State of California provides funding for welfare to work programs through the
Employment Training Panel (the "ETP"); and
WHEREAS, in December of 1997, the City Council of the City of Anaheim (the "City")
approved and authorized the submittal of an application to the ETP for certain welfare to work
program funding (the "Application"); and
WHEREAS, the Application has recently been approved and the City has been awarded funds in
an amount not to exceed Seven Hundred Ninety Three Thousand Six Hundred Forty Three
Dollars ($793,643) (the "ETP Funds") by the State of California through the ETP for the purpose
of providing job training to recent welfare recipients; and
WHEREAS, the State of California requires that the City Council of the City approve
Employment Training Panel Agreement No. 98-0195 in order for the City to be eligible to receive
the ETP Funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Employment Training Panel Agreement No. 98-0195. That
certain Employment Training Panel Agreement No. 98-0195 (the "ETP Agreement") which (i) is
substantially in the form attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference and
(ii) allocates funds in the amount not to exceed Seven Hundred Ninety Three Thousand Six
Hundred Forty Three Dollars ($793,643) to the City of Anaheim, is hereby approved.
Section 2. City Manager Authorization. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
the ETP Agreement, modifications thereto and documents implementing the ETP Agreement on
behalf of the City.
