ORDINANCE NO. 2023
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING TITLE 18, CHAPTER 18.24,
SECTION 18.24.030 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO R-1, ONE -
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Title 18, Chapter 18.24, Section 18.24.030,
Paragraphs (3)-(a) and (3)-(b) of the Anaheim Municipal Code
be, and the same are hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 18.24.030 AREA.
"(3) REAR YARD --Minimum rear yard shall be twenty-
five feet.
"(a) Where an equal area is provided elsewhere
on the lot, said rear lot may be reduced
to 10 feet. In computing the equal area,
side and rear yard areas may be included
where they are useable as open_ living spa
an�T�ave a minimum imension of 10 eet,
but the required front area shall not be
included.
"(b) Additions to existing dwellings may be
permitted to extend into the required
rear yard area, but shall not extend
closer than 10 feet to the rear lot line,
nor closer than 5 feet to the side lot
line. A maximum of 35% of the required
rear yard area may be covered by such
additions, provided other outdoor living
area is available elsewhere on the lot;
but not including required front yard,
parking or driveway areas."
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once with-
in fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anabeim_$ullel
tin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, pti%blished=-:;
and circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and
after its final passage it shall take effect and be -?n full
force.

introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Anaheim held on the 4th day of August, 1964, and that the same
was duly passed and adopted at a regular meeting of said City
Council held on the llth day of August, 1964, by the following
vote of the members thereof:

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Dutton and Chandler

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor/of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said Ordinance No. 2023 on the 11th
day of August, 1964,
