ORDINANCE NO. 2008
• AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
TITLE 1, CHAPTER 1.01 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO CODE ADOPTION AND CONSTRUCTION
BY ADDING SECTION 1.01.390.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1.
That Title 1, Chapter 1.01 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and the same is hereby, amended by adding thereto
Section 1.01.390, reading as follows:
"CHAPTER 1.01 - - CODE ADOPTION AND CONSTRUCTION.
"SECTION 1.01.390 VIOLATIONS OF CODE --CITATIONS.
"When any person is arrested for a violation of any
provision of this Code and is not immediately taken
before a magistrate, the arresting officer shall
prepare, in triplicate, a written notice to appear
in court containing the name and address of such
person, the offense charged,and the time and place
where and when such person shall appear in court.
The time specified in the notice to appear must be
at least five (5) days after such arrest.
"Any person who wilfully violates his written
promise to appear in court is guilty of a misde-
meanor regardless of the disposition of the charge
upon which he was originally arrested.
"When a person signs a written promise to appear
at the time and place specified in the written -_--
promise to appear and has not posted bail a �s7.provd.ed-, ,-
in Section 853.1 of the California Penal CO ,'the -
magistrate
the.magistrate shall issue and have delivered°fob
execution a warrant for his arrest within-,6vanty.-_(2-0)
days after his failure to appear as promised.'".
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.

I, DENS M. WILLIAMS, City Clerk of the City of Anaheim,
do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 2008 was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City •
of Anaheim held on the 9th day of June, 1964, and that the same
was duly passed and adopted at a regular meeting of said City
Council held on the 16th day of June, 1964, by the following vote
of the members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pebley, Dutton, Schutte, Krein, Chandler
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim
approved and signed said Ordinance No. 2008 on the 16th day of June, 1964.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed
the official seal of the City of Anaheim this 16th day of June, 1964.
