Motion carried° STADIUM REVIEW COMMiTTEE~ Tom Liegler reported on the recent Stadium Review Committee meeting pointing out a study being made on a high level sound system rather than the low level system now specified. Concessions stand and lounge facias were directed to be of a glazed or smooth material for maintenance and appearance. Parking lot stalls were determined at 8'6" widths which gives ample 'roominess and will. allow for more vehicles bringing the total well over the 12,000 required° A layout c.f roadwa'y completion dates in the Stadium area were shown. It 'was reported that the sod farm south of Orangewood is well laid out and soon will be seeded for sod growth. Samples of the backstop and clubhouse flooring were shown. DRAG RACING REPORT: it was reported that the two groups interested in promoting drag racing in the Stadium area are still very concerned with one group planning to race in the riverbed, meeting with the Orange County Board of Supervisors for permission, while the other group awaits a decision before making their choice of one of three locations under consideration. ANAHEIM STADIUM COMMISSION MINUTES -2- August 193 1965 CORRESPONDENCE: The Commissioners in attendance stated that they had received a copy of the Stadium Commission Ordinance revision from the City Attorney's office in regards to Commission powers° group retired to the Stadium site and were joined by Leonard Smith and Ken Gedney for a complete tour of the facility.
