APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of the meeting of April 22, 1965 were approved as written and mailed.
REVIEW OF RENTAL INFORMATION - STADIUM AND CONVENTION CENTER
The Stadium Commission discussed the early availability of rental fees for the
Convention Center. The law of "supp]y and demand" dictates flexibility in
rental costs, i.e., Disneyland's Embassy Room charges vary with the season. A
flexible price schedule was generally recommended by the Commission in some
respects.
A flat fee per square feet would be based on the Exhibit Hall. The arena would
be charged upon a minimum cost for operations or admission percentages, which-
ever is higher.
A rule of thumb policy at this time, would be that a local group (which in theory
does not pay a room tax) would be charged, an outside 9roup (usin9 a barometer of
one dayls travel) would be 9iven the facility free of char9e but observe the
room tax which is an ~lautomatic~' char9e equalizer. The basic rentals would be
set up a~.d any chan9es for a particular 9roup would require City Council approval.
Further discussion of this ,hatter will take place in approximately two weeks.
At that time, Mr. Watts said they should have a definite figure as to what the
amortization of the loan will be. After this figure is available the Commission
could then establish some operational costs.
Mr. Liegler will set up a tour of the convention facilities in San Diego and a
review of the San Diego Stadium sometime in the near future.

REPORT OF PAST ACCUMULATIVE DATA ON CONVENTION CENTER
Mr. Liegler had reviewed all of the memorandums of meetings between the City
and advisors for the Convention Center. He said that the memos contained in-
formation on operations only and nothing on rental fees.
CITY OF ANAHEIM EXHIBITS
Chairman Coons asked the Commissions reaction to the idea of placing some City
of Anaheim exhibits (i.e., Stadium Model, Convention Center Model and other
displays) in a booth at the Lions International Convention in Los Angeles.
MOTION:
Commissioner Currier moved that the Commission recommend to the
City Council that full support be given to the sponsoring of an
Anaheim area exhibit at the Lions International Convention the
first week in July. Seconded by Commissioner Glover. Motion
Carried.
POLICY BOOK
A "Policy Book'~ will be made up containing all recommendations to date and
presented at one time to the City Council for their review and approval.
When additions are made these would be sent to the City Council recommending
that they be added to the book.

Commissioner Glover moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Commissioner
Currier. Motion carried.
