ORDINANCE NO. 1857
. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
TITLE 18, CHAPTER 18.76 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNI-
CIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 18.76.020
THEREOF, AND BY ADDING THERETO SECTION
18.76.021, RELATING TO ZONING.
WHEREAS, there is involved in the processing of zoning
applications both labor and materials in many departments of the
City of Anaheim, including the Planning Department, Engineering
Division, Office of the City Clerk, Office of the City Attorney,
and Duplicating Section of the Finance Department; and
WHEREAS, the present filing fee required for a zoning
application covers only a small fraction of the average costs
accrued in the processing of said application; and
WHEREAS, the processing of a zoning application benefits
primarily the applicant, himself; and
WHEREAS, the applicant now suffers the costs of said
zoning action only to the extent of that burden suffered by each
and every other contributor to the general revenues of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
SECTION 1.
That Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and the same is hereby amended by amending Section
18.76.020 thereof, and by adding thereto Section 18.76.021, said
amended section and new section to read as follows:
"SECTION 18.76.020 -- FILING FEES.
"A fee of $75.00 shall be paid upon the filing of
each application for a Variance or a Conditional
Use Permit as provided for in Chapter 18.68, and
a fee of $125.00 shall be paid upon the filing of
each application for a Reclassification provided
for in Chapter 18.72, and a fee of $150.00 shall
be paid upon the filing of each application for
the combination of a Reclassification and either
a Variance or a Conditional Use Permit. The
above filing fees are required for the purpose of
defraying the expense of postage, posting, adver-
tising and other costs of labor and materials
incidental to the proceedings prescribed herein.
A written receipt shall be issued to the person
making such payment, and records of such payments
and expenditures thereof shall be kept in such
manner as prescribed by law.
• 'SECTION 18.76.021 -- APPEAL FEE.
"A fee of $50.00 shall be paid upon the filing of
an appeal requesting that the City Council review
the action of the Planning Commission taken with
regard to an application for a Variance or a
Conditional Use Permit."

SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a
newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated
in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage
it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me this
