ORDINANCE NO. 1835
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
TITLE 18 OF THE ANAHEIM F.L7NI.CIFAL CODE RELAT-
ING TO ZONING.
THE CITY COUNCIIC OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES FIND
THAT:
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did heretofore duly pass and adopt Resolution 'lo. 547,
Series __19.62-6 in Reclassification No. 62-63-44
recommending an amendment of Title 18 of tae An eim Mun3_cipa
Code and a. change or changes in the boundaries of the zone or
zones herei.nAfter mentioned and described, after having held a
public hearing thereon in the manner and as prescribed in said
Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to consider such proposed
change or changes of zone or zones, and after having received
evidence and reports from persons interested therein; and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission did make find-
ings and summaries of its hearings and did recommend a change
or changes of zone or zones as set forth in said resolution; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolution, report of
findings, summary of evidence and recommendation of the City
Planning Commission, the City Clerk did fax the 2nd day of
Januar ___9 19 63 , as the time, and t Council

a public hearing upon said proposed amendment to Title 18 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code and change or changes of zone or zones,
and did gave notice thereof in the manner and as provided in said
Title 1.8 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fired for said public
hearing, the City Council did hold and conduct such public hear-
ing and did give all parsons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and dad receive evidence and reports, and did there-
upon consider the recomrendation of the City Planning Commission,
and dad adopt Resolutions (( s) No. (s) 63R-14 9 finding
and determining that Title 18 of theE-Y eim Municipa Coda
should be amended and that a change or changes in the boundaries
of said zone or zones should be made as set forth in said °resolu-
t ion ( s ) ; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with said Resolution(s)
63R-14 9 certain conditions and requirements were
as con itions precedent to the making of a change or changes of
said zone or zones; and
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent to said change or
changes of zone or zones have been complied with;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITE' COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS -
SECTION 10
That Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code relating
to Zoning be, and the same is hereby, amended by changing the
boundaries of the zones set forth in said Title 18 by adopting
a sectional Zoning Map or Daps showing such change or changes
as follows -

That all of the area situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows, to wit:
That portion of Lot 21 in the J. D. Taylor Tract, as
shown on a map thereof recorded in book 36, pages 58
and 59, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California, lying Southerly of the following
described line:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Cross Street,
(now known as Jefferson Street) as shown on said map,
South 17° 00' East 347.41 feet from its intersection
with the Westerly prolongation of the Northerly line
of said Lot 21; thence South 780 10' 10" East 237.29
feet; thence North 73° 23' 00" East 246.68 feet to a
point on the Northeasterly line of land described in
deed to J. Shailer Arnold and wife, recorded August 8,
1945, in book 1326, page 224, Official Records, in the
office of the County Recorder of said Orange County;
thence South 36° 23 00" East 310.46 feet, more or less,
to an intersection with`the semitangent line of curve
course No. 20 of Riverside Road, Section 3, as laid out
by the Orange County Highway Commission;
EXCEPTING that portion lying South of the North line
of the strip of land quitclaimed to the Santa Ana
Valley Irrigation Company, by deed recorded July 18,
1934, in book 685, page 255, Official Records, in
the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County.
The Southerly boundary of said land and the Santa Ana
Valley Irrigation Ditch is shown on a map of survey
recorded in book 4, page 3, Record of Surveys, in the
office of the County Recorder of said Orange County;
ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion thereof granted
to the State of California, by deed recorded September 26,
1960, in book 5432, page 370, Official Records, in the
office of the County Recorder of said Orange County,
described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of
Cross Street (now known as Jefferson Street), as
shown on said map, with the center line of the Santa
Ana Canyon Road, 60.00 feet wide, as described in deed
to the County of Orange, recorded in book 1711 page
144, Official Records, in the office of the County
Recorder of said Orange County; thence along said last
mentioned center line, South 710 10' 33" East 336.46
feet; thence at right angles to said center line,
North 180 49' 27" East 30.00 feet to the Northeasterly
line of said Santa Ana Canyon Road and the true point
of beginning of this description; thence tangent to
said Northeasterly line, Easterly along a curve concave
Northerly having a radius of 172.00 feet, through an
angle of 63031' 43" a distance of 190.71 feet; thence
tangent to said curve North 45° 17' 44" East 44.48
feet to the Northeasterly line of the parcel of land
described in deed recorded in book 2308, page 203, Official
Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said
Orange County; thence Southeasterly along said North-
easterly line to the Northwesterly line of the strip of
land described in deed to the Santa Ana Valley Irrigation
Company, recorded in book 685, page 255, Official
Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said
Orange County; thence Southwesterly along said North-
westerly line to said Northeasterly line of said Santa
Ana Canyon Road; thence Northwesterly along said last
mentioned Northeasterly line to said point of beginning.

RESIDENTIAL ZONE NOW PENDING), and that it be changed to and
incorporated in C-1, NEIGHBORHOOD -COMMERCIAL ZONE, upon the
following condition:
That adequate areas for trash storage,
accessible to trash -truck pickup, shall
be provided as determined and required
by the Street.Maintenance and Sanitation
Division of the Public Works Department,
which areas shall be enclosed with a solid
fence or wall prior to final building
inspection.
SECTION 2.
The City Zoning Map shall be, and the same is hereby,
amended, and the property above described shall be excluded from
the zone in which it is now situated, and incorporated in and
made a part of the zone as above set forth, and said City

The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me
