OF OCTOBER 12, 2017
The special meeting of October 12, 2017 was called to order by Mayor Tait at 11:06 A.M. in the
Council Chamber of Anaheim City Hall, located at 200 S. Anaheim Boulevard. The meeting
notice, agenda, and related materials were duly posted on October 11, 2017.
PRESENT: Mayor Tait and Council Members: James Vanderbilt, Kris Murray, Denise
Barnes, and Stephen Faessel
ABSENT: Council Members Jose F. Moreno and Lucille Kring
STAFF PRESENT: Interim City Manager Linda Andal, Acting City Attorney Kristin Pelletier,
and Acting City Clerk Theresa Bass

CONSENT CALENDAR:
1. RESOLUTION NO. 2017-144 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
D116 THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ratifying the proclamation of a local emergency issued on
October 9, 2017 by the Director of Emergency Services of the City of Anaheim and
finding that the conditions of peril that constitute the local emergency are likely to be
beyond the control of the services, personnel, equipment and facilities of the City of
Anaheim.
MOTION: Council Member Faessel moved to waive reading in full of the resolution and to
adopt the Consent Calendar as presented, in accordance with reports, certifications and
recommendations furnished each City Council Member and as listed on the Consent Calendar,
seconded by Council Member Murray. ROLL CALL VOTE: AYES - 5: (Mayor Tait and Council
Members Vanderbilt, Murray, Barnes, and Faessel); NOES — 0; ABSENT — 2: (Council
Members Moreno and Kring). Motion carried.
On behalf of the City Council, Mayor Tait expressed his appreciation to Fire Chief Randy
Bruegman and the men and women of his department for their heroic efforts and service to the
City.
ADJOURNMENT: With no other business to conduct, Mayor Tait adjourned the Special
Meeting at 11:08 A.M.
