A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 93R-153 TO ADD
CIVIL PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF SECTION 14.32.206
OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE (PARKING OF
OVERSIZED VEHICLES — RESTRICTED).
WHEREAS, on July 20, 1993, the Anaheim City Council adopted Ordinance No. 5384
which, inter alia, provides that the parking penalty assessments for violations of the parking and
standing provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, the California Vehicle Code and codes of the
State or Federal Government shall be adopted by Resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to California Vehicle Code Sections 40200 et seq. and Ordinance No.
5384 the City of Anaheim is responsible for collecting all parking and standing penalties whether
issued under the Anaheim Municipal Code, the California Vehicle Code or any other statute or
ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously adopted Resolution No. 93R-53 incorporating,
in relevant part, Exhibit "A" thereto establishing the Penalty Schedules for parking and standing
violations of the Anaheim Municipal Code and the California Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, on June 15, 2004, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2004-144 updating
the schedule of parking penalties; and
WHEREAS, on August 21, 2007, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2007-165
amending the Penalty Schedule, pertaining to parking in a permit only area without a permit and
increasing the civil penalty to $60.00 for a violation of Section 14.32.450 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code; and
WHEREAS, on February 24, 2009, the Anaheim City Council adopted Resolution No. 2009-
036 due to a clerical error in Resolution No. 2007-165 pertaining to parking in an area restricted for
street sweeping, which was unintentionally listed as $19.00 not $29.00 as previously established by
the Anaheim City Council; and
WHEREAS, on April 10, 2018, the Anaheim City Council adopted Ordinance No. 6434
restricting the parking of certain large, oversized and recreational vehicles on public streets; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Council now desires to amend and restate Exhibit "A" of
Resolution No. 93R-153, as previously amended by Resolutions Nos. 2004-144,2007-165 and 2009-
036, to include a penalty for violations of Section 14.32.206 of the Anaheim Municipal Code relating
to the restriction on parking oversized vehicles on public streets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as
follows:
SECTION 1.
That pursuant to Section 14.32.550 of Chapter 14.32 of Title 14 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code, and in accordance with California Vehicle Code Sections 40200 et seq., or any successor
provision thereto, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does hereby amend and restate Exhibit
"A" to Resolution No. 93R-153 to add a civil penalty for violations of Section 14.32.206 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code, including surcharges imposed by law, and penalties for unpaid parking
penalty assessments as set forth in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference
as though set forth in full.

That except as expressly revised herein, Resolution No. 93R-53 shall remain in full force and
effect.

Any surcharges imposed by law shall be added to the penalties established by or in
accordance with this Exhibit, specifically those imposed by Government Code Sections 76000 and
76101 or any successor provision thereto.
An additional penalty of $28.00 shall be added for all parking penalty assessments due and
unpaid within the time periods provided on the notice of parking violation in accordance with
California Vehicle Code Sections 40200, et seq., or any successor provisions thereto.
Unpaid parking penalties shall be collected in accordance with Vehicle Code Section 40220
or any successor provision thereto.
