A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE RECEIPT OF
A GRANT AWARD FROM THE
CALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the California Energy Commission has made a grant of $150,000 to the City
of Anaheim to assist in the purchase of liquefied natural gas powered refuse collection vehicles
by Taormina Industries, LLC; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is prepared to accept this grant to assist Taormina
Industries LLC in the purchase of liquefied natural gas powered refuse vehicles; and
WHEREAS, Taormina Industries LLC has agreed to enter into an agreement with the
City of Anaheim to implement the liquefied natural gas powered refuse vehicle program as
outlined in the grant application to the California Energy Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
that the City hereby agrees to accept the grant from the California Energy Commission as set
forth above and to comply with the terms of said grant.
The foregoing resolution is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of
