A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE INTERNATIONAL
BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS, LOCAL 47 (IBEW)
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers, Local 47 have met and conferred and reached an understanding
regarding Article 62.2.2 of the Memorandum of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47
is in agreement with the recommendation contained in said Letter of Understanding;
and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the Letter of Understanding dated April 2,
2003 between the parties has been prepared and signed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in
the best interest of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated April 2, 2003 between the International
Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47 and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is
attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved.

and the
CITY OF ANAHEIM
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47 and the City of Anaheim have met
and conferred, and reached an agreement to amend Article 62.2.2of the Memorandum of
Understanding between the parties as follows:
62.2.2 Effective 2003, ANAHEIM shall increase its contribution to the premiums for the
various health plans each January. This contribution shall be based on the
Consumer Price Index, Ail Items Index- Urban Wage Earners and Clerical
Employees (CPI-W), for the area identified as Los Angeles - Riverside - Orange
County. The increase in ANAHEIM's contribution sba# be equal to the percent
change for the year ending July M~y of the prior calendar year plus seventy-five
percent (75~) of any amount above the CPI-Vi. (For example, the City's
increase in contribution for calendar year 2003 2004 sba# equal the percent
change in the CPI-W for the year ending July~,~ Mmv 20~$ p/us 75% of the
amount of the health premium increase that exceeds the percent change in the
