A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 2015-196 FOR THE
PURPOSE OF CREATING, MODIFYING, OR
DELETING CLASSIFICATIONS AND RATES
OF COMPENSATION FOR CLASSIFICATIONS
DESIGNATED AS FIRE SAFETY
MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report
dated August 14, 2018, that the need exists to create, modify or delete classifications and rates of
compensation for classifications designated within Fire Safety Management, effective the pay
period beginning August 24, 2018; and
WHEREAS, such additions, deletions and modifications require an amendment to
Sections 1 and 3 of Resolution No. 2015-196, as amended; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that creating,
deleting and/or modifying such classifications and rates of compensation to or within
the designation of Fire Safety Management is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim as follows:
SECTION 1.
1. That, Section 1 of Resolution No. 2015-196, be amended by adding the
following classification:
Classification
Fire Division Chief
Salary Range
XFR35
2. That, Section 3 of Resolution No. 2015-196, as amended, is further
amended by establishing the following salary range:
Range Minimum Market Control
XFR35 $143,748 $179,685 $197,654
SECTION 2.
For purposes of benefits and application of pay guidelines and Personnel Rules,
classifications listed in Section 1 of this Resolution shall be assigned to the following unit:
Classification Unit of Representation
Fire Division Chief Middle Management
SECTION 3.
Except as amended herein, Resolution No. 2015-196, as amended, shall remain in
full force and effect.
SECTION 4.
The effective date of said amendment to Resolution No. 2015-196, as amended, is
August 24, 2018.
