OF APRIL 16, 2018
The special meeting of April 16, 2018 was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Jose F. Moreno at
8:04 A.M. in the chambers of Anaheim City Hall, located at 200 S. Anaheim Boulevard. The
meeting notice, agenda, and related materials were duly posted on April 12, 2018.
PRESENT: Mayor Pro Tem Jose F. Moreno and Council Members James Vanderbilt,
Denise Barnes, and Stephen Faessel. Mayor Tom Tait and Council
Members Kris Murray and Lucille Kring joined the meeting during Closed
Session.
STAFF PRESENT: Acting City Clerk Theresa Bass
ADDITIONS/DELETIONS TO CLOSED SESSION: None
PUBLIC COMMENTS ON CLOSED SESSION ITEMS: None
Council Member James Vanderbilt noted for the record that the names on the applications he
reviewed were redacted so he could review them blindly, in respect to the importance of the
process and in fairness of selecting a City Manager.
8:00 A.M. - CLOSED SESSION — SPECIAL MEETING
At 8:05 A.M., Mayor Pro Tem Moreno recessed to closed session (City Hall, 7th Floor) for
consideration of the following items, noting Council would reconvene the meeting on the 7th floor
to record any report from closed session:
CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS

Designated Representative: Jason Motsick, Acting Human Resources Director, and a
Representative from Avery Associates
Position: City Manager

At 4:50 P.M., Council returned from closed session.
REPORT ON CLOSED SESSION ACTIONS: None
ADJOURNMENT: With no further business before the City Council and without objection,
Mayor Tait adjourned the closed session special meeting of April 16, 2018 at 4:50 P.M.
