RESOLUTION NO. 89R-423
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM CONSENTING TO A JOINT PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE PROPOSED FIRST AMENDMENT TO
THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE RIVER VALLEY
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, AUTHORIZING THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A DATE, TIME AND PLACE
THEREFOR, AND AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION AND
MAILING OF NOTICE OF SUCH JOINT PUBLIC
HEARING.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim (the
"Council") has heretofore adopted a Redevelopment Plan for the
River Valley Redevelopment Project (the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency (the
"Agency") has prepared a proposed First Amendment to the
Redevelopment Plan for the Project, which proposed First
Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan conforms to the requirements
of the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety
Code, Section 33000 et seq.); and
WHEREAS, the California Community Redevelopment Law
authorizes a joint public hearing on the proposed First
Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan, with the consent of this
Council, the Agency and the Anaheim Community Redevelopment
Commission (the "Commission"); and
WHEREAS, the Agency by resolution has consented to a
joint public hearing on the proposed First Amendment to the
Redevelopment Plan and has requested that the Council and the
Commission consent to such joint public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim as follows:
1. The City Council hereby consents to a joint public
hearing with the Agency and the Commission on the proposed First
Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan.
2. The date, time and place for the joint public
hearing on the proposed First Amendment to the Redevelopment
Plan shall be as set by the Executive Director of the Agency (or
his or her designee).
3. The City Council hereby consents that the
Executive Director of the Agency (or his or her designee) shall,
in cooperation with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim,
publish and mail notice of public hearing on the proposed First
Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan, in the manner, and with
other documents as required and established by law.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the city of Anaheim this 7th day
of November
1989.
