1. CALL TO ORDER: The Community Services Board meeting was called to order at 5:32 p.m. by Vice Chair
Wilson.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Board Member Querijero-Ferreras led the Board in reciting the Pledge of
Allegiance.
3. UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: None.
4. SCHEDULED COMMUNICATION: None.
5. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Vice Chair Wilson presented the November 8, 2018 Minutes to the Board
Members for changes or corrections. Vice Chair Kelso made a motion to approve the November 8, 2018
meeting minutes, seconded by Board Member Querijero-Ferreras. The motion was approved with 4 ayes; Vice
Chair Wilson accepted the minutes.
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
a. FY2017/2018 CDBG Performance Report: Joe Perez introduced Suzan Ehdaie, Community and Economic
Development Department staff, whom provided a Performance Report for the FY2017/2018 CDBG
Program Year. Suzan Ehdaie reported that 14 agencies received funding for programming, two of those
agencies did not spend the entire amount of allocate d funds due to various circumstances; and two
agencies did not meet their individuals served goals for the year. She answered questions regarding the
FY2017/2018 allocation. Suzan also reported that the numbers on the Performance Report are received
quarterly and the program goal is created when the funding allocation agreement is completed. Suzan
indicated that there is an expected delay for the release of funding for the FY2019/2020 funding cycle.
b. FY2018/2019 CDBG Public Service Funding Cycle: Joe Perez provided an update on the FY2018/2019
CDBG Public Service Funding Cycle. Mid-year updates and Board Member site visits will be scheduled
after the FY2019/2020 oral presentations are completed in February.
c. FY2019/2020 CDBG Funding Process Update: Joe Perez provided an update on the FY2019/2020 CDBG

Funding Process. The oral presentations have been scheduled for February 14 and 21, 2019. The
baseline allocation that was approved this year will be used for the 2019/2020 cycle.
