A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN
PUBLIC ALLEY RIGHT-OF-WAY ADJACENT TO PAUL
REVERE SCHOOL, EASTERLY OF THE CENTERLINE OF
IRIS STREET (Abandonment No. 2003-00066)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did, by Resolution No.
2003R-69, duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate certain public streets, highways or public
service easements pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation
Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said vacation was posted and
published in the manner prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of June, 2003, a public hearing was held to allow
interested persons to submit evidence concerning said proposed vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of that portion of a public alley right of way adjacent to
Paul Revere School, 131 W. Midway Drive, Anaheim, California, east of the centerline of Iris
Street, provided, however, that this action shall serve only to terminate the right of the public to
use said alley and shall not be construed to convey or relinquish any property interest of the City
of Anaheim in such alley.
See Exhibit "A", attached hereto, for the legal description of the foregoing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by this Resolution
shall not be effective until a certified copy of this Resolution is recorded in the Office of the
Recorder of Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby,
authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded in the Office of
the Recorder of the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 3rd day of aune ,2003.
