4607FOLLOWS: ORDINANCE NO. 4607 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING SECTION 14.32.189 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF ORANGETHORPE AVENUE BETWEEN LEMON STREET AND MISSILE WAY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS SECTION 1. That Section 14.32.189 of the Anaheim Municipal Code is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. That Section 14.32.189 is hereby added to the Anaheim Municipal Code to provide as follows: "14.32.189 NO STOPPING AT ANY TIME - TOW AWAY BUS ZONES OR STREETS DESIGNATED. No person shall stop or leave standing any vehicle in the following areas when the areas are posted with signs and/or markings: .010 Bus loading zones .020 Wagner Avenue, on the north side from Ambridge Street to Cedarwood Lane; and on the south side between the east and west property lines of Katella High School .030 Orangethorpe Avenue, on the south side from Lemon Street to Missile Way Buses shall be exempt from the provisions of this section. The Traffic Engineer shall place signs and/or markings prohibiting parking or stopping in these areas. All police officers of the City of Anaheim are authorized to remove or cause to be removed any vehicle which violates this section. The owner and operator of the vehicle shall be liable for towing and storage charges. The person causing removal of such vehicle shall comply with Sections 22852 and 22853 of the California Vehicle Code." SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares that should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this ordinance of the Code, hereby adopted, be declared for any reason to be invalid, it is the intent of the Council that it would have passed all other portions of this ordinance independent of the elimination herefrom of any such portion as may be declared invalid. SECTION 4. SAVINGS CLAUSE Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor the repeal of any other ordinance of this City shall in any manner affect the prosecution for violations of ordinances, which violations were committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be construed as a waiver of any license or penalty or the penal provisions applicable to any violation thereof. The provisions of this ordinance, insofar as they are substantially the same as ordinance provisions previously adopted by the City relating to the same subject matter, shall be construed as restatements and continuations, and not as new enactments. SECTION 6. CERTIFICATION The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in said City, and Thirty (30) days from and after its final passage, it shall take effect and be in full force.
