Anaheim Blvd., Anaheim, California August 8, 2019 BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: STAFF PRESENT: Tierra Wilson, Vice Chair Joe Perez, Community Services Superintendent Linda Barnett Eleanor Granflor, Sr. Secretary Steve Brio Gloria Ma’ae Paula Schuerger BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: Kandee Beas, Chair Ryann Higgins A G E N D A A C T I O N T A K E N __ 1.CALL TO ORDER: The Community Services Board meeting was called to order at 5:34 p.m. by Vice Chair Wilson. 2.PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Board Member Schuerger led the Board in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. 3.UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: None. 4.SCHEDULED COMMUNICATION: None. 5.APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Vice Chair Wilson presented the July 11, 2019 Minutes to the Board Members for changes or corrections. Board Member Barnett made a motion to approve the July 11, 2019 meeting minutes, seconded by Board Member Ma’ae; motion was voted in favor unanimously; Vice Chair Wilson accepted the minutes. 6.PREVIOUS BUSINESS: A.FY2019/2020 CDBG Public Service Funding 1)CSB Funding Recommendation Update: Joe Perez reported the City Council approved the federal Annual Action Plan, which contains the CDBG funding recommendation, unanimously on July 30th. The Community and Economic Department will contact the agencies to complete contracts and setup funding allocations. All financial reimbursements will be submitted through the new Neighborly Software. Joe added that City Council thanked the CSB for all their work and due diligence in preparing a solid funding recommendation. B.FY2020/21 Funding Cycle Update 1)Funding Application Update: Joe Perez reported applicants are currently being reviewed by the Community and Economic Development Department for funding qualification and approval. Board Members will not receive access to the Neighborly Software until all agency applications have been reviewed and approved. Board Member Barnett requested that if approval process is not completed by the end of next week that the Community Services Board meeting go dark in September and meetings will resume in October. Joe Perez stated he will be in contact with the Community and Economic Development Department and will update Board Members once information is received.ITEM # 03 Community Services Board August 8, 2019 Page 2 2) Non-profit agency site visits by CSB Members: Joe Perez reported Board Members are given the opportunity to visit CDBG-funded agencies to learn about the agency and how it operates its programs and services provided to the community. Vice Chair Wilson led the assignment of agency site visits as indicated below. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: Vice Chair Wilson questioned if the CSB Field Trip has been scheduled . Joe Perez stated a field trip to visit City facilities and programs will be scheduled later in the year. 8. ADJOURNMENT: Vice Chair Wilson adjourned the meeting at 6:13 p.m.
