A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C1TY OF
ANAHEIM RESCINDING CONDITION 3 OF RES OLUTION NO.
2352 RELATING TO THE MOTHER COLONY HOUSE
ADVISORY BOARD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim heretofore adopted its
Resolution No. 2352 on February 23, 1954, accepting a deed conveying certain real property and a
building located thereon to the City of Anaheim which building is known and is commonly referred
to as the Mother Colony House; and
WHEREAS, Condition No. 3 of said Resolution No. 2352 provided for the creation
of the Mother Colony House Advisory Board to advise the City Council on matters pertaining to the
Mother Colony House; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is now desirable and in the public
interest to create a Cultural and Heritage Commission for the City which Commission, as one of its
duties, would oversee the Mother Colony House and its operations; and
WHEREAS, the Mother Colony House Advisory Board no longer has a sufficient
number of members necessary to constitute a quorum of the Board; and
WHEREAS, for the foregoing reasons, the City Council hereby determines that there
is no longer a need for the Mother Colony House Advisory Board to function as an advisory body
to the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim as follows:
Section 1.
That Condition No. 3 of Resolution No. 2352 be, and the same is hereby, rescinded.
Section 2.
forthwith.
That the Mother Colony House Advisory Board be, and the same is hereby, dissolved
