A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A
LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE SERVICE
EMPLOYEES' INTERNATIONAL UNION, LOCAL 1877
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director met and conferred in good faith with
officials and employee representatives of the Service Employees' International Union,
Local 1877, regarding wages, hours and conditions of employment; and
WHEREAS, a Letter of Understanding between the parties has been prepared and
signed which states that the City of Anaheim shall amend Appendix "A" to include the new
classification and hourly pay rates for Alteration Worker, and amend Appendix "B" to
include the new classification so that Alteration Workers with part-time 30 hour status shall
be eligible for Health and Welfare coverage effective June 1, 1998; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find it in the best interests
of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
that the Letter of Understanding between the City of Anaheim and the Sewice Employees'
International Union, Local 1877, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by
reference herein, is approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of
