A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM RATIFYING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT
APPLICATION AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR 2019-20 MENTAL HEALTH TRAINING GRANT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE,
TO EXECUTE ALL REQUIRED GRANT DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the California Board of State and Community Corrections (the
"Grantor") has heretofore invited public agencies, including the City of Anaheim, to submit
applications for the FY 19-20 Mental Health Training Grant(the "Grant"); and
WHEREAS, on November 8, 2019, the City Manager for the City of Anaheim, by
and through his designee, submitted an application on behalf of the City of Anaheim to the Grantor
for said Grant; and
WHEREAS, in response to that Grant application, the City of Anaheim was
awarded Six Thousand Two Hundred and Ten Dollars ($6,210.00) in Grant funds by the Grantor;
and
WHEREAS, the City is familiar with the terms, conditions and limitations of the
Grant; and
WHEREAS,the City is willing and able to conform to each of the terms,conditions
and limitations imposed upon the City of Anaheim pursuant to the Grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim as follows:
1. The submission of the application for the Grant by the City Manager on
behalf of the City of Anaheim,a public entity established under the laws of the State of California,
to the Grantor is hereby ratified and approved.
2. The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby agrees to, and by this
Resolution, does accept the Six Thousand Two Hundred and Ten Dollars ($6,210.00) in Grant
funds awarded to the City without further action of the City Council being required therefore.
3. The City of Anaheim hereby agrees to comply with each and all of the
terms, conditions and limitations imposed by the Grantor upon said Grant, and the Anaheim City
Manager,or his designee,is hereby authorized and directed to execute any agreements,assurances,
or other documents that are required or necessary in connection with the acceptance or
implementation of the Grant.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 1 7th day of December , 2019, by the following roll
call vote:
AYES:Mayor Sidhu and Council Members Kring, Barnes, Brandman,
Moreno, Faessel, and O'Neil
