A RESOLUTION OF THE (:]lTV COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING PERSONNEL RULE 4 PERTAINING TO APPROPRIATE SALARY
STEP AS ESTABLISItED IN RESOLUTION NO. 88R-.166
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 88R-166 established the provisions
of Personnel Rule 4 - Appropriate Salary Step for certain employees
of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the ttuman Resources Director has recommended that
Section 4.16 of Personnel Rule 4 Appropriate Salary Step be amended
to provide acting pay for ail absences over thirty (30) calendar
days to exempt management employees; and
WHEREAS, the City Counci~ of the City of Anaheim does find
that amending Section 4.16 of Personnel Rule 4 Appropriate Salary
Step is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that Personnel RuJe 4, Appropriate Salary Step be
amended as follows:
1. Section 4.16 of Personnel Rule 4 is hereby amended to
read as follows'
"Section 4.16 An exempt management employee may be appoint2d by the
City Manager to serve in an acting capacity during an absence from
work of thirty (30) calendar days or more of another exempt
management employee. Management employees who are granted acting
pay by the City Manager shall receive a 5% increase in pay or the
minimum rate of the higher salary range while in an acting
capacity."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this
amendment to Resolution No. 88R-166 is January 6, 1989.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except to the extent amended,
Personnel Rule 4 shall remain in full force and effect.
