A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE APPLICATION
FOR CHILD CARE LOCAL COORDINATION FUNDS
WHEREAS, the State Department of Education, Child
Development Division has available one-time-only child care
coordination funds; and
WHEREAS, these funds are available to cities and counties
for planning and coordination of activities within local
government to facilitate the availability of child development
services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim supports the concept of a
community-wide coordinated effort among the public and private
sectors to insure adequate child care services are available to
its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that:
1. The filing of an application for State Department of
Education Child Care Coordination Funds, is hereby approved; and
2. The City of Anaheim will provide a matching
contribution of twenty-five percent in cash or in-kind services;
and
3. The City Manager is hereby appointed as the City of
Anaheim's representative to conduct all negotiations, execute and
submit all documents, including but not limited to, applications
and amendments which may be necessary for the completion of the
aforementioned application.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this24th day of January, 1989.
